Electronics assembly requires nitrogen gas for a variety of soldering, storage and cleaning applications.
The nitrogen purity required will vary greatly, depending on the application to which the nitrogen is being applied. The purity requirement can be as low as 95% for cleaning electronic components & storage, and as high as 99.999% for selective mount soldering (SMT) processes.
The use of nitrogen gas for the electronics production ensures minimal heat exposure during the manufacturing process, oxide free component connection during assembly and a condensation free environment during product storage.
